Vision, Mission and Objectives


Establishing an Islamic Faculty of Medicine which is outstanding, respected, authoritative, and able to compete in national and international forums


The realization of quality medical education that is accredited both nationally and internationally and that will produce qualified Muslim physicians who will practice their profession in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Develop advanced medical education in biomedicine.

Develop an integrated medical education that emphasizes problem-based learning

Conduct quality studies and research, so as to

Produce new knowledge and technologies that benefit humanity in accordance with Islam.

Perform all kinds of community services to improve the quality of life in accordance with Islam.


The programs at YARSI UNIVERSITY’s Faculty of Medicine are professional academic programs which aim to produce MUSLIM DOCTORS through the learning process by completing a curriculum, so as to have the knowledge, attitudes and skills to:

1. Master medical/health knowledge and skills and practice the knowledge and skills in accordance with Islam.

2. Diagnose and manage common diseases found in society, and recognize and give first aid in the case of serious and rare diseases, including physical, mental, social and spiritual aid.

3. Diagnose and give first aid in emergencies, both to individuals and to society.

4. Have comprehensive knowledge about health problems and demonstrate the skills to process and present data showing health problems, to further find solutions to and manage these problems starting from the invidual level, the family level, the community level, to the population level.

5. Demonstrate the ability to manage health centers in all kinds of levels and environments, and work effectively and efficiently in teams, whether in education, research or services using all available resources.

6. Recognize, identify and prioritize health problems in society at present and in the future. Understand and have the ability to apply the basic principles of health education in order to help and lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of health programs and community health improvement, disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programs that society needs.

7. Demonstrate the awareness of and sensitivity to social and religious values, local culture and customs that can influence health and illness.

8. Demonstrate skills and abilities as professionals, identify their own shortcomings and have the ability and interest to undergo continuous self-development in terms of knowledge and personality for the betterment of the profession.

9. Demonstrate a complete grasp of the INDONESIAN CODE OF MEDICAL ETHICS and the ISLAMIC CODE OF MEDICAL ETHICS, such as being responsible members working effectively and efficiently in a team, and caring for patients without discrimination in accordance with Islam.

10. Make good use of all available resources in improving public health.

11. Serve as creative and productive members of society, be open to changes, future-oriented, and strive to educate and encourage people toward the same attitudes.
